It's been a heck of a handful of months characterized by a frenzy of writing, but my second novel, Lacrima, is scheduled for release on the 30th. If you've been familiar with my writing from fandom or are someone who's following the War Prize series, you're probably wondering what's gotten into me that I've written a modern novel – and a hybrid sort of dark romantic comedy, no less – and I'll give you an honest answer: I have no idea.

Tomorrow my first put-in-the-public-eye brainchild will finally be available for sale on Amazon, and let me tell you—I'm feeling almost as expectant as I did when my children were due. Unlike with them, of course, the book release will actually happen on the date expected, not two weeks later. The process for a book to come into the world is also less strenuous, although not by much (from a certain viewpoint, anyway). Endless editing, proofing, cutting scenes, adding scenes, second-guessing...
